Te Whariki (Early Childhood Curriculum) guides our teachers to ensure children are “competent and confident learners and communicators,
healthy in mind, body, and spirit, secure in their sense of belonging and
in the knowledge that they make a valued contribution
to society” (Ministry of Education, 2018, p.2).
Morning tea & Lunch information
We strongly believe that a fed child is best! However, we like to encourage healthy options too. Not to worry, your expectations of our team and centre is something we like to sit down and discuss with you and your family when you visit us.
Meals are not provided by our centre, but, we do provide fresh fruit options for our children who need a little extra.
Morning tea is at 10.00 am and lunch time is at 12.00pm.
We welcome birthday celebrations at the centre – birthday plans are discussed with a teacher prior to your child’s birthday.
All other enquiries about our centre, our teaching team and our service – please contact us! We are always happy to make time with families to chat about who we are at Kelston Community Early Childhood Centre and how we can support your child/ren’s learning journey.
